Rogue Wave Software Improves Developer Productivity With Three Product Releases

Rogue Wave Software, the largest independent provider of cross-platform software development tools and embedded components, announces updates to three of its flagship products. These releases underscore the company's commitment to provide developers with the tools they need to accelerate great code.

Rogue Wave regularly adds new features and functionality to its growing portfolio of products in order to support developers as demand increases for higher quality, more secure software - in less time.

With last weeks 10.2 release of Klocwork static code analysis, developers will have additional functionality to help them write higher quality, more secure code, faster.

  • Performance enhancements to speed the time it takes to create quality code.
  • Support for additional development platforms making Klocwork the tool of choice regardless of coding environment: C# 5, Java 8, Visual Studio.
  • Enhancements to the coding interface on the web to improve user experience and speed time to market of high quality software applications.
  • New checkers to ensure up-to-date industry standard compliance, including MISRA 2012.

TotalView, the Rogue Wave intuitive source code debugger, has been updated to version 8.15. Trusted for years in large-scale environments TotalView 8.15 features expanded capabilities to debug big, complex mission-critical code.

  • Improved scalability and performance to debug many processes on clusters and supercomputers at any scale.
  • Faster and smoother debugging with large C++ programs making heavy use of C++.
  • Added platform support, including CUDA 6.5 and support for Fortran 2008 Coarrays on Cray systems.

"Today's coding environments are getting bigger and more powerful. What used to be high performance or supercomputing is the desktop of today. TotalView 8.15 can more easily scale up or down to the size of the development environment, allowing developers to debug parallel applications locally on their multicore desktop or across the nodes of a compute cluster with ease," says Chris Gottbrath, principal product manager.

Visual data analysis tool PV-WAVE 10.5 improves developer productivity with updated platform support, new functionality, and product improvements. Already a sophisticated programming language and set of tools for data analysis and visualization, this release has improved support for DICOM image files and new support for GeoTIFF as an input image format.

"PV-WAVE 10.5 improves the developer experience and simplifies the process of building rapid prototypes and production-ready applications," says Don Boughey, senior director of products.
