Rogue Wave Shows Off New Analysis Toolchain for Software Risk Mitigation

Rogue Wave Software today announced it will showcase the industry's first end-to-end toolset for deep software risk assessment and mitigation at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, California (Feb. 24-28) and at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany (Feb. 25-27). Through a combination of technology-leading tools in defect, performance and liability analysis, Rogue Wave's suite of products allows development teams to find and eliminate security, stability and compliance issues before they occur, reducing both risk and cost.

“Rogue Wave has consistently provided market-leading frameworks and tools used by developers to enable software everywhere,” said Brian Pierce, CEO of Rogue Wave. “Our portfolio discovers potential risks across the development lifecycle through all types of artifacts, from source code to running processes to application data. This comprehensive functionality enables development teams to focus on improving features rather than fighting issues.”

The combined Rogue Wave toolset includes:

  • Static code analysis with Klocwork, giving developers instantaneous feedback on many security, reliability and standards compliance issues as they create code.
  • Visual debugging with TotalView, offering massively scalable verification tools and reverse debugging that reveal how threads, processes, memory and I/O are behaving across multiple CPUs.
  • Open source scanning through OpenLogic, delivering unparalleled liability protection against OSS compliance risk, conflicts and obligations – down to a few lines of code.
  • Data analytics through IMSL Numerical Libraries, allowing teams to predict actions and behaviors through intensive data mining, modeling and analysis algorithms, protecting against malicious runtime activities that are impossible to detect through regular software testing.

Organizations with increasingly complex and growing datasets in mission-critical environments will benefit from the expanded breadth and depth of these products and will continue to receive the same outstanding levels of service and support across all of them.
